Online hypnotherapy sessions work pretty much the same way as face-to-face sessions.

After an initial free consultation, Helen will discuss the plan that is suitable for you, what to expect and what specific behaviours or problems you would like to change.

All you need is a quiet, private space where you’re unlikely to be disturbed, an internet connection and a suitable device.

Online Zoom Hypnotherapy sessions

Zoom for most online work. It’s free, and you don’t need to set up an account. Zoom works on most modern devices. If you’re unsure how to use it, Helen can guide you through it. Skype or Facetime is also an option for online hypnotherapy and NLP sessions.

Every effort is made to ensure that the technology we use is safe and secure. All calls are encrypted, and no one can join the call without an invitation.

Why have sessions online

1. Accessibility

Online therapy is far more accessible than traditional face-to-face counselling ever could be. It can be a lifeline for those struggling with illness, injury or who are differently abled. It’s also a great fallback for when unforeseen circumstances, like the COVID-19 lockdown, arise.

2. Flexibility

You can take part in online therapy from almost anywhere, an essential factor during a lockdown! All you need is a confidential space and access to the internet. While many clients can find a quiet room in the house, others have been more creative, engaging in online therapy from the comfort of their homes, cars and similar spaces. It might be possible to use a combination of in-person and online sessions according to your changing circumstances (and the COVID-19 threat level).

3. Confidentiality

While there is much more awareness around mental health, some people still feel embarrassed to seek help. Online therapy can eliminate the fear of being seen going into a counsellor’s office or of people knowing you are attending counselling.

4. There is no commute

You can save a lot of time and money if you don’t have to commute to see your counsellor. Also, you need not stress about train times, traffic or parking, leaving you more relaxed and able to take part in therapy.

5. It’s more anonymous

While many people prefer to see a counsellor close to home, online therapy means you don’t have to. You can work with someone from a totally different area; someone you will never meet.

6. It’s non-geographic

It doesn’t matter where in the world you are. If you have an internet connection and a smartphone, you can have online counselling. Only online therapy can give such flexibility.
