Why did you become a hypnotherapist?

One of the most common questions I get asked when people come to see me is, ‘how did you become a hypnotherapist?’ or ‘why did you become a hypnotherapist?’

For as long as I can remember I was always very curious about the power of our minds. I went to see a hypnotherapist myself, who helped me find my own strengths to cope and boost my self-confidence at a time when I needed it most. It was then that I realised that I would really like to become a hypnotherapist myself, in order to help other people strengthen their own skills and develop healthy, lasting strategies to help in daily life. I enjoy seeing people grow in strength to break their bad habits, and develop their own healthy coping mechanisms with the confidence to cope with whatever stresses life throws at them – especially if they were sceptical to start with!

It’s great being a hypnotherapist as I have a passion for what I do. I have been in practice for over 10 years now and no two clients have been the same. Everyone’s experience is different, so someone might feel really heavy and another person might feel like they are floating in the air. It is just a relaxation, there is no pressure to feel in a particular way. Sometimes you might go so deep that you might not hear what I am saying to you, and sometimes you hear every word I say, and it is ok too.

What types of things do hypnotherapists help with?

Hypnotherapists can help with a whole range of issues, however most tend to gravitate around solutions for smoking, slimming and stress or the three S’s as they are often referred to. I personally specialise in helping people with stopping smoking and curbing other addictions and dealing with stress and performance related concerns. I have done a lot of work with people during the covid19  pandemic regarding stress, anxiety phobias and grief.

I also work with a wide variety of clients on many other issues including getting over relationship break-ups, jealousy, anger management, impotence, premature ejaculation and many other issues around this area.

I love helping people to find the solutions that they’re looking for. To use those ways, how our mind works, how our bodies work, to use our imagination, to change our beliefs so that we can start feeling better, so that you can start feeling better to live the life you want to live, feeling happy, feeling fulfilled, feeling good inside and really just enjoying life exactly how you want to.

And if you’ve got a change that you want to make in your life, whether that is getting rid of anxiety and panic, whether it’s feeling more confident, feeling good inside, just feeling happy to be yourself, to go places, to do things, to enjoy life, to be the real you, then give me a call.

Contact me over for a free 30 minute Zoom consultation, let’s have a chat and we can take things from there. I’ll answer any questions you’ve got and you can take the first steps towards start focussing your mind and starting making  positive changes.
